With more than 30 years in the financial services industry, Steve has a knack for speaking to clients in “plain English.” His mission? To empower his clientele and help them make informed decisions regarding their finances by demystifying the complex areas of financial planning and investment management.
Steve not only appreciates the power of transparency, he also knows that comprehensive financial planning is about more than dollars and cents. It’s also about addressing the emotional and psychological aspects of wealth – and doing it all in a sincere, upfront way that merits clients’ trust.
Aside from helping clients achieve their goals, Steve often helps them uncover just what those goals are. “Many clients are saving money without a specific objective in mind,” Steve says. “I work with them to explore their planning and investment options, and then I give them my honest advice on how to move forward.” Considering his decades of experience, Steve’s clients can feel confident knowing his advice is based on deep industry insight.
Steve began his financial career in 1987 as an advisor with Northwestern Mutual Investment Services. In 2021, he continued his professional ascent by joining forces with Rick Harris to open Aspire Growth Partners, a decision he made with his clients’ best interests at heart. As a business owner, he can now help clients invest in less conventional stocks and has greater control over his services and fiduciary fees. This allows him to be fully transparent while maintaining access to the robust resources and technology.
In addition to his hands-on industry experience, Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in business from Kent State University. He also holds his Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® designations.
On most days, Steve’s dog Sam, is in the office with Steve and is known as the director of stress reduction at Aspire Growth Partners. When he’s not helping clients, Steve can be found looking at cars, water or snow skiing, bike riding and traveling.
